Advertising

Advertising on the back panel of a pedicab (bicycle rickshaw) is a charming way to reach local customers.

Rates for Rickshaw Back Panel

$395.00 per month per pedicab, driven through downtown Chapel Hill each Friday and Saturday nights every week, and possibly up to three other nights per week.

In addition, we'll need to have a sign made for you, which typically adds a $50 one-time charge.

If you're interested in shorter or longer advertising terms, please contact us and maybe we can work something out.

*** 10% less if you prepay for 6 months and 20% if you prepay for a year. We offer discounts for non-profits, too.

Your Rickshaw Sign

We have special velcro mounts which make a custom sign necessary. You have two options:

  • Send us your graphics and we'll have it made for you. This usually costs about $50.
  • You can have your sign made yourself. We can even send you the contact information for our usual sign maker. You'll typically pay around $40 this way.

Other Advertising Opportunities

We do have other opportunities available for advertising, through our vehicles, on our friendly drivers' jerseys, and in other marketing materials. Please contact us for details.

Partnering

For $25 per month restaurants and retailers can join our Downtown Partners Program.

What partners get:

  • Markers on our published maps, both printed and on our web site map;
  • Links from our web site (see right);
  • Customers, employees, and anyone else traveling to or from your location get 10% the cost of riding.

Other benefits:

  • Increased sense of place and community;
  • Reduced air pollution and congestion;
  • Helps reduce the parking crunch;
  • Assistance for elderly or challenged pedestrians;
  • Convenience and safer travel;
  • Be a part of and help support a network of local, green businesses;
  • You'll be part of a climate change solution.

Concerned about parking for customers? Too much traffic downtown? Greenway can help to alleviate that challenge, while moving more people through to hard-to-reach areas.

Employees can be delivered to the workplace, leaving more parking spaces open for customers.

Being a downtown partner not only looks good in a green way, it makes it easier for potential customers to become actual customers by getting them to your establishment to shop, eat, or drink, reducing the hassles of parking, walking, or driving. Happy, rested customers mean increased sales.
